This rain barrel kit (link back to our site diykit) is the “granddaddy of all rain barrel kits. At $36.95, it is slightly more expensive than the RainRecycle Rain Barrel kit, with a few more parts. This kit includes the spigot, connection hose and bulkhead connector for the barrel, the flexi-fit diverter that taps directly into your downspout, as well as the hole saws necessary to install the rain barrel. The kit includes several additional parts including a winter hole cover and drain. The winter hole cover allows you to store your rain barrel inside during the freezing winter temperatures. Simply disconnect your rain barrel, store it and place the winter hole cover on the downspout hole. The drain is useful in draining the water of the barrel or perhaps connecting it to a soaker hose.
